Arise is an exciting new political party in Harrow, founded by local residents who feel Harrow has been let down and unrepresented by the traditional parties
Arise has candidates with political experience but most importantly, they are already actively working and volunteering in our local community to create change.
Voting for Arise candidates at the Harrow Council election on Thursday 7 May 2026 is a vote for our community.

Arise candidates for Marlborough ward
Pamela Fitzpatrick
A dedicated community campaigner, Pamela lives in Marlborough.
She is a trustee of two local charities and was a local councillor from 2014-2022. She works at a legal advice centre she founded in Harrow.
Pamela has been active in many local campaigns including opposing unaffordable housing projects like the ‘Tesco Towers’.
Asha Mohamed
A Harrow resident for over 30 years, Asha has 19 years of experience in the charity sector, community work and activism. She has dedicated her life to creating safer spaces for the community in Harrow.
As a single mother, Asha understands the pressures residents face and how urgently local services need to improve.
Sheila Guhadasan
Locally, she was chair of her residents’ association, was on the ‘No To Tesco Towers’ campaign committee, and organised an anti-far right rally in North Harrow.
Sheila leads a large and active local branch campaigning for Palestinian human rights.
Arise candidates for Roxeth ward
Farid Mall
A Harrow resident of 27 years, Farid has spent 20 years supporting vulnerable people through local and regional charities. Today, he leads a charity helping local children with maths, English, coding and wellbeing.
He will bring this lifelong commitment to practical, compassionate action to the council, fighting for every resident.
Kirsten Perkins
Raised and educated in Harrow, Kirsten’s activism is focused on tackling Harrow’s housing crisis and empowering young people to influence their community.
Kirsten is committed to ensuring residents understand how local government works, feel included in decisions, and have a transparent, accessible councillor.
Yihya Sirhan
Yihya works in education. Living in Harrow for over 20 years, he has long-standing community ties and involvement in community initiatives, including on food poverty, luxury housing developments that ignore the needs of local people, and supporting vulnerable residents.
He is a strong supporter of local businesses, promoting their role in building a thriving and resilient community.
Arise candidates for Wealdstone South ward
Aghileh Djafari Marbini
Wealdstone South resident Aghileh founded a local organisation providing essential support to over 100 families in need every week, which has twice been shortlisted for a Harrow Heroes award.
She has been a school governor and is a trustee of a local pre-school.
Paul Crimmins
A Wealdstone South resident for 40 years, Paul has seen the years of neglect in the area. As a bricklayer, he is frustrated at the crumbling infrastructure and feels passionately that it is time to fight for Wealdstone.
He was chair of Harrow Trades Council, having advocated for workers throughout his life, and now volunteers weekly at a charity helping families in Wealdstone.
Arise candidates for Wealdstone North ward
Faran Khan
Born and raised in Harrow, Faran is passionate about making our borough a kinder, fairer place for all. His work has included helping people into emergency housing, and he regularly volunteers at a Wealdstone based charity assisting families in poverty.
Faran is dedicated to supporting local businesses and wants to work on revitalising Wealdstone High Street.
Dante Korjov
Raised in Wealdstone, Dante has considerable experience supporting residents through working at food banks and advocating for private renters against rogue landlords.
He is secretary of a local organisation supporting Palestinian rights and has campaigned tirelessly in the local community against racism and food poverty over recent years.
Arise candidate for Headstone ward
Amaan Choudhry
Headstone resident Amaan runs a successful local award-winning business. His love for the community he lives in has inspired him to volunteer at a variety of community organisations in Harrow, including as a voluntary teaching assistant at a local primary school, a local hospice’s charity shop and at a care home.
He has worked tirelessly to tackle everyday issues in Headstone; including taking action to stop car dealerships leaving vehicles on residential roads.
